Spiritual Warfare

Here are some scriptures that you might find helpful or encouraging.

Ephesians 6:11-13

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Revelation 12:11

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Directive Prayer

Thank You that I can come boldly before Your throne of grace! I know my struggle isn’t flesh and blood, but principalities, powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world. In the name of Jesus, I take onto myself the whole armor of God that I may be able to successfully stand against the strategies and deceits of the devil.

I stand firm, therefore, having my loins girt about with truth. Your Word is truth, and contains all the weapons of my warfare, which are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

I have on the breastplate of righteousness, which is faith and love. My feet are shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. In Christ, I have peace and pursue peace with all men. I’m a minister of reconciliation, proclaiming the good news of the Gospel!

Lifting up the shield of faith, I’m able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. The helmet of salvation (holding the thoughts, feelings and purposes of God’s heart) is on me; and I’ll use the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, my weapon of offense, to defeat the Enemy. In the face of all trials, tests, temptations and tribulation, I overcome and destroy the snare of the Enemy by speaking the Word of God!

Thank You, God, for the armor. I will pray at all times, on every occasion, in every season in the Spirit, with all prayers and entreaty. I’ll keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding on behalf of all the saints. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Thank You, Father, Your Word says, no weapon formed against me will prosper and every tongue that rises up against me in judgment shall be shown wrong. I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of my testimony. Thank You, God, Who in Christ always leads me in triumph as trophies of Christ’s victory!

 In Jesus’ name I pray,

 Amen

I speak peace, safety and success over my travel plans, in Jesus’ name.

Thank You for the angels who keep charge over me and surround my means of transportation. I will proceed with my travel plans without fear of accidents, problems of any type or frustrations. I have Your peace and won’t allow fear any place as I travel. Lord, deliver me from every type of evil and preserve me for Your kingdom.

Thank You, Father, that in every situation I encounter You’re there to protect me. The earth and all things on it are under Your command. You’re my heavenly Father, and I am Your child. Through my faith in You, I have the power to tread on serpents and have power over the Enemy. No food or drink will harm me while I am away from home. No matter where I may go, I am protected. Thank You for blessing this trip with divine favor and success. I praise You, Father, for upholding me with Your righteous right hand.

 In Jesus’ name I pray,

 Amen

Here are some scriptures that you might find helpful or encouraging.

Jeremiah 29:11-14

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

Matthew 6:28-30

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Directive Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You, Lord, that I can come before Your throne of grace to find mercy and grace in my time of need. Thank You for Your Word that promises to supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. I put my trust in You, Lord. You’re my source and my provider.

I pray for a job in my profession. May I find favor and success as I look for employment. Order my steps and lead me in Your path. Lord, please give me the ability to create riches and wealth, and the power to enjoy it, to accept my appointed lot and to rejoice in my labor. This is a gift from You. I pray You’ll be glorified in what I do. Give me wisdom to know where to go and what to do at this time. Open doors for me that only You can open and shut the ones I’m not to go through.

I trust You with all my heart and will not lean on my own understanding. I will delight myself in You. Thank You, Lord. You’re faithful and will do it.

 In Jesus’ name I pray,

 Amen

Wisdom

Here are some scriptures that you might find helpful or encouraging.

Jeremiah 33:3

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

Proverbs 2:6-7

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.

John 16:13

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

James 3:17

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Directive Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for Your Word! It says the beginning of wisdom is the reverent and worshipful fear of You, Lord. Your Word says if any man lacks wisdom to ask You, and You’ll freely give it. I seek You and Your Word and pray for the true wisdom that comes from heaven above that is first of all pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive to Your will, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Lord, You said You would guide me in wisdom and lead me along straight paths. May I be blessed to find wisdom and gain understanding. How much better wisdom and understanding are than gold and silver! The fear of the Lord teaches man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Your Word says a man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense. Wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future and hope.

Grant me a heart of wisdom and understanding that I may know Your will in all circumstances and be obedient to Your Word. I call upon You to show me great and unsearchable things I do not know. Guide me into Your truth to do Your will in all things. May my life be directed by Your Holy Spirit and may all my steps be ordered by You. Your Word is wisdom and I seek to know Your Word, meditate on it day and night, and obey it! May You be glorified in my life.

 In Jesus’ name I pray,

 Amen
